Once you have arrived in Broome, you may want to go on a tour to another destination. Simply select the option below to view tours which depart from Broome.
 Max People: 21 persons on this tour. 
 What to Bring: Sturdy walking shoes(ankle high), hat & sunscreen, towel & toiletries, swimming gear, warm clothing in winter, water bottles, torch, insect repellent, camera & film, pillow, sleeping bag (can be purchased for $30)
15kg luggage limit.  
 Vehicles Used:: 4WD Mitsubishi or Isuzu - 16, 17 or 20 seats front facing air-conditioned vehicle.  
 Hikes Involved:: Hikes up to 6-8kms per day  
 Tour Accommodation: Permanent Campsites - have permanently erected tents, permanent cooking facilities and purpose-built fire pits, screened eating areas, share showers and toilets.

Bush Camps - no facilities other than those that are carried on the vehicle. Passengers sleep in swags (Aussie bedroll). The tour will stop along the way at roadhouses for clients to have a shower etc.  

Note: You will need to arrange your accommodation for when this tour completes in Broome.

 Places of Interest: During this tour, you will visit the following areas:

Pinnacles, Kalbarri, Monkey Mia, Ningaloo reef, Karijini NP, 80 Mile Beach, Cable Beach.  
 Notes:
  • This tour is only for fit and active people, who can hike 5-9kms a day over uneven terrain, often in high temperatures. Temperatures can be extreme i.e. very high during summer days and very cold during winter nights. We &/or the tour operator reserve the right to assess the fitness capability of passengers prior to tour departure.
  • Tour is not suitable for children.
  • Due to the remote nature of the Pilbara region we use bush camps with limited facilities on some nights.
  • A STRICT LUGGAGE LIMIT APPLIES - 15kgs per person, in a backpack or soft bag.
  • Itinerary may vary and/or attractions substituted due to seasonal conditions, Traditional Owner and National Park requirements.
  • Tours must be reconfirmed 48 hours prior to the date of travel

     Tour Itinerary:

    Day 1 - Perth to Kalbarri

    We make our way out of Perth and head north through market gardens and vineyards. Joining up with Highway 1, you'll be fascinated by the landscape through the Nambung National Park where we come across the intriguing Pinnacles Desert. From here we travel through Geraldton and continue on to our overnight accommodation at Kalbarri.(LD) (H)

    Day 2 - Kalbarri to Denham

    It's an early start this morning for a short drive to Murchison Gorge in Kalbarri National Park. Here, we explore Nature's Window, the Loop and Z-Bend Gorge an exhilarating 150 metre descent into the heart of the gorge before an invigorating swim in the tranquil water pools (seasonal).Feeling adventurous- Give abseiling a go (optional activity at additional cost). Lunch is well-earned today! In the afternoon we head towards Monkey Mia, stopping at gorgeous Shell Beach before reaching our overnight stop at Denham. (BLD)(H)

    Day 3 - Denham to Warroora

    We hit the beach after a short drive across the Peron Peninsula and make our way to the world famous Monkey Mia dolphins have your camera ready for some great shots of these entrancing animals, and maybe even the local pelicans! Heading further north we check out the stromatolites at Hamelin Pool and then take a well earned break at Carnarvon before we finish the day by driving the highway Coral Bay, the Jewel of the North.     Day 4 - Coral Bay and Exmouth

    It's time to relax! Spend today discovering the wonders of the Ningaloo Reef and its fantastic marine wildlife. Snorkelling, cruising on a glass-bottom boat, swimming with manta rays or whale sharks (seasonal), quad bike tours or a joy flight over the reef (all at own expense) are just some of the ways you can check out this beautiful aquatic park. Late this afternoon we make the short trip to Exmouth. (BLD) (H)

    Day 5 - Exmouth

    Get ready to explore the Exmouth region. After breakfast we head to Yardie Creek in the Cape Range National Park. Turquoise Bay is a great spot for a swim (or just lazing on the beach!). The views from historic Vlahming Head Lighthouse are spectacular. We head back to our accommodation mid afternoon (BL) (H)

    Day 6 - Exmouth to Karijini National Park

    Heading inland through the vast cattle stations of the Pilbara region, our destination is the oasis of Karijini. This afternoon we drop in at Tom Price, a little town known for its iron ore mining, before setting up our camp overlooking the magnificent Hamersley Range, just in time to watch the sun set.     Days 7 & 8 - Karijini National Park

    It takes two full days to explore and take in the surrounding national park and gorges. Formed over 2,500 million years ago, the Hamersley Ranges are some of the most unusual landforms on earth. Deep in the gorges you'll come across cascading waterfalls and fresh, still waterholes perfect for swimming. Some of the gorges are so narrow; you can touch both sides at once! Dales, Gorge, Fortesque Falls, Fern Pool, Circular Pool, Weano Gorge and Hancock Gorge are just some of the areas we'll get to. Definitely a highlight!(BLD) (C)

    Day 9 - Karijini National Park to Eighty Mile Beach

    Heading towards the coast, we take a brief tour of Port Hedland, where the sheer scale of operations in the iron ore industry will amaze you! On the road again, we head towards Broome, spending our last night together at beautiful Eighty Mile Beach (BLD) (C)

    Day 10 - Eighty Mile Beach to Broome

    We get off to a slow start this morning to take in the glorious stretching sands of Eighty Mile Beach, which stretches forever! Wander along the beach or go for a swim before we get to Broome in the mid-afternoon. (BL)
